Trajectories and tangents on the road with Botanica. At Home in New York with the Small Beast. Moments of outrage and elation. Questions, suggestions, opinions and commands.
The Small Beast is a spinet piano made by the Winter Piano Corporation sometime in the 60s or 70s. It sits in a box, at The Delancey on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, from which it emerges every Monday night to accommodate Paul Wallfisch, his friends and co-conspirators. So intertwined have our existences become, that the Small Beast is now an alias. As for Molly Baltimore, I'll begin inventing her here.
